embarrassing toilet rings

September 6th, 2007 § 3 comments

you know those nasty rings on the toilets that no matter how hard you scrub or clean, won’t come off?

for the last few days i’ve been trying to get rid of those rings from our toilets. i tried leaving borax on for overnight, vinegar on overnight, and i even went back and use the nasty scrub free on the toilet overnight. although slightly (very slightly) lighter, it was still way too noticable for my comfort.

and my toilets are clean. i just need to get rid of those rings. so i searched the net and asked questions and i saw the pumice stone mentioned alot. after the overnight vinegar soak didn’t work, i went over to lowes and picked up “pumie scouring stick” for $2.97. i got home and started rubbing it against the toilet ring for a few seconds (the stick works better when wet). immediately i noticed part of the ring i was scrubbing disappeared!

man oh man! that was awesome and worked like magic! so i proceed to scrubbing gently the whole ring and voila! my toilet look like new! i am just so glad i found something that works. plus we have hard water this time of the year so that’s even worst.

this is the best discovery for me so far. works wonderful and well worth it. a note that, that this pumice stick is not the same as the ones for your feet available at the beauty store. you’ll have to go to a hardware store to pick this up.

i even tried this on the tub where some stubborn (hard water) stains weren’t coming off and wow! it really works!

anyway, 2 thumbs up for this!
