remember my sony ericsson w600i phone with the hello kitty wallpaper? it’s dead. it won’t charge anymore. probably because jaelynn put a mouthful of spit in the charging slot. i didn’t know she was that hungry.

so i switched to my back-up phone. a nokia 6620 unlocked phone. compare to the w600i, many things aren’t to par. oh well. it’s an older phone. still,the alarm is not loud enough to wake me now. the ringtones aren’t as cool. it’s not as small. it’s not swivel or slider (like in those korean dramas). it just looks dull.

we’re on a budget so i can’t get a new phone yet but i am going to get one next year. our contract is up in june but we’re eligible for an upgrade in february.

i would like to switch to helio and get the ocean with their unlimited plan. but i really want the nokia n95. i really do. cingular is expected to carry the branded n95 soon – october 07 to be exact. which if i want we need to stay with cingular.

i calculated what our monthly premiums would be and if we go to helio, we can have 2 unlimited plans at $65 each month. unlimited messaging and internet. total would be $130. or the family plan at $85 first line and $35 2nd line. 1000 minutes with unlimited data and messaging, etc. total $120.

or if we stay with cingular, our current plan is $59.99. if we add on the media max bundle for the phones (i’m assuming james’ll probably want the n95 too. i mean it’s such a cool phone so why wouldn’t he?) at $19.99 each which includes 200 messagings and unlimited data usage, our total would be $99.99 a month. add on all the darn fees cingular charges and we’ll be breaking $120. and i’ll have the n95. sounds reasonable right?

i’m on a budget and a limit so depending on what cingular price the n95 at, i may not even be close to getting one considering the unbranded version is going for $620+ at the moment.

oh well. hey, maybe the price will drop enough by then for me to be able to afford it. now that’s a thought.
