I’m running out of time! It’s getting so close. I’m both excited and nervous. Sometimes i feel like i’m ready and others i’m not! How could that be?
I believe i’m all set but i also felt like i need to tidy up the place more. Aah….i’m such a mess! The funny thing is that james is taking everything in stride and he’s calm about it all.
oh well, only 3 days until the baby’s here!
I know i’m rambling but i can’t help it.

i had my last doctor’s appt today and no changes from last week. just soft and thin but not dilated. i guess that’s okay since if i do dilate, it would mean i’m going into labor. i don’t think i’m one of the women who can be dilated and still not go into labor for days.
i am anxious though to have this little guy. since i’m gestational with this pregnancy, my doctor doesn’t want me to go pass my due date. so, unless the baby makes an appearance by 7/7, i’m going in to be induce. i’m more nervous about the induction than the actual labor so i’m ready to beg this baby to come out. LOL
i’m still hopeful because jaelynn didn’t arrive until the day before her due date. *sigh* i just want things to happen naturally, get what i mean?
either way, i’ll get to hold my baby in one week so that’s something to look forward to.

i’m still here and no baby yet. i’m currently 38 weeks and 2 days.
i had my weekly doc’s appt yesterday and there were a few small changes. i’m still closed but 40% thinned out and soft. she felt i should make it pass this weekend’s birthday bash.
at next week’s appt, we’ll be discussing a possible induction if the little guy doesn’t make his appearance by the due date.
i’m just excited that at least there are changes. i would so go out and take lotsa walks but i do not want to anything big happening until after the weekend.
did i mention that we have the hospital bag all packed and ready by the coats closet? we have the car seat washed and waiting; the bassinett is still in the box but can be put up anytime and so is the playard. i’m getting kinda nervous too. LOL

i’m officially full-term! i’m 37 weeks and 2 days and ever since i was told i’m gestational, i’ve not gain a pound. i guess that’s good right? i did gained a total of 30 pounds.
faith is also turning 6 next wednesday and she’s really really excited!! we’re planning a birthday bash for her – i’m hoping to make it both frugal and as eco-friendly as i possibly can within budget. that means we’re not using any plastic plates, cups, or utensils. i don’t think i have enough cloth napkins so if i have to, i’ll have to hunt for some recycled-napkins.
we are going to pick out some cake mixes and bake the cake ourselves instead of buying – she’ll love that. we created and printed invitations last night – they’re very cute! as for food, i’m going to make some curry noodles and some asian salad.
for party favors, i’m going to check out the dollar store as they’re suppose to have cute little inexpensive things that i can get.
we aren’t doing a lot of gifts this year – i’m going to give her a target giftcard – the $25 that i got from the nicole’s advantage (i switched the card to a “happy birthday” giftcard), a gift basket, and a personalized story book. that way she can go shop for something she likes.
for now, i hope the little guy will wait until sometime after his sister’s birthday bash to make an appearance.

i’m getting much closer to the big 3-oh!
anyway, james let me get this glider for me and the baby; it’s great that it was on clearance too:

dorel glider
i’m hoping this will help with the alot of the back aches and shoulder pains that i usually get for feeding and holding the baby all the time. i don’t know why i never thought of it before. so yes, i’m excited!
with my $25 giftcard from buy.com, i bought this little guy for the soon-to-be-here little guy; total out of pocket $3.26:

learning baby tad
we love all the leap frog videos and so i want to jumpstart the little guy with this baby tad. isn’t he a cutie? baby tad’ll be joining some of the jungle animals that we already have for the little guy.

yesterday i went to my weekly NST at the hospital. when the nurse finished hooking me up to the monitor, she left. after 30 minutes she came back to check on me. she remarked to me, “wow, you had a big contraction there!” i did? she asked me if i felt it and i told her i thought it was heartburn!! isn’t that silly of me? you would think i would know by now what is a contraction and what is not….LOL i still can’t get over that.
so she left again and said she’ll come back to check on me. when i was alone, i knew then that what i thought was heartburn was really contractions. they were coming every few minutes and there were another 1 or 2 really big ones!!
the nurse came back and told me that me if i actually go in to labor at this point in time, they’ll just let me because i’m already 35 weeks and a few days. i know i can’t wait to have the baby but i still want to wait another few weeks and i’ll feel a lot better about the whole thing. anyway, she released me after talking with the doctor. i was just told to really pay attention and to go in if anything major happens, ie: water break, bleeding, etc. you know the normal stuff.
as soon as i got home, i told james that we needed to get the hospital bag ready. like seriously. i’m already pre-registered at the hospital, we packed some spare clothes for me and a coming home outfit for the baby, filled out the birth certificate paperwork, and our overnight parking pass. i felt much better! whew!
the contractions wasn’t really painful and they went away, for the most part. i was getting braxton hicks on and off all day today though. i can’t believe i’m really almost there!!! woohoo!

reusable fresh snack pack
i had to use so much plastic lunch bags the last few days that i got really really tired of them. i hate using them and throwing them away. i saw these last time but wasn’t going to buy any until we’re done with using whatever plastic bags we had. i couldn’t wait. amazon have these as part of their 4-for-3 promotion and i snatch 4 (8 snack packs in all – 1 small and 1 big one per pack) of them. it’s too bad that they’re temporarily out of stock.
anyhow, i can’t wait to get them and start utilizing them. our lunch bags from pottery barn kids should be here monday too. that’s something to be excited about.
