gardenias for my mother in law

October 26th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

i love my mother in law; she’s such a wonderful person and she helps us so much. so when i bought the BIG BUNDLE, there was a $20 gift certificate to 1800flowers.com.

this weekend, 1800flowers.com ran a promotion where you get free UPS shipping for buying certain flowers and plants. james and i got a little something for her at a awesome deal!

gardenia

gardenia with ceramic planter

we bought this gardenia plant with a ceramic planter for her. i didn’t want flowers because they’ll die after a couple of days. i figure with a plant, at least she can water it and it can grow, therefore lasts longer!  :)

cost:                   $34.99

shipping:          $12.99

free shipping: -$14.99

gift cert:             -$20

tax:                      $2.89

the total was    $15.88

we also went through bing.com with a cashback of 20%. i received an email from bing that my CB is $7, thereby making this only $8.88!! how cool is that? what a slickdeal huh?

possibly 3 free shutterfly photobooks

October 18th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

here are some great shutterfly photobooks deals – i received  3 8×8 hardcover photobooks free! they expire on 11/5.

here’s how:

1) facebook – if you have a facebook account, simply installed the family tree application. you can add family members or click cancel at the bottom once it’s installed. then click on the link above again and you should see a free shutterfly code.

2) if you have a cozi account (or created one before october 6th), simply login to your account and there’s a link at the top for a free shutterfly photobook.

3) to go tripadvisor, submit a review of your recent trip. once your review is posted (takes about 2 days), you’ll get an email that it posted along with a free shutterfly photobook code.

with so many books to make, you’ll sure be busy.  shipping on each free book is about $8. or if your order is over $30, use code SHIP30 for free shipping.

2 months old & $5 magazines!

September 9th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

alex had his 2 month old well-baby appt yesterday. for james and i, phase one again. lol

he is now 13 pounds and 8.3 ounces. what a chunky monkey! and he’s 23 3/4 inches long. he’s moving right along there. he receive his shots and boy, he gave a such a sad cryy that it broke my heart all over again (from the early days of my girls). as soon as it was done though, he stopped so he was a good boy. :D jaelynn also received her flu shot – before she knew what it was, the nurse had already given it to her. she didn’t have time to cry. saying jaelynn was amazed is an understatement. you should have seen the look on her first.  it was sorta like – what the heck just happened? i got poked? i didn’t cry??! it was quite endearing, really.

on a side note, i subscribe to women’s health magazine for 2 years for $5. now, that’s a deal! courtesy of slickdeals, as always.

want one too? go to discountmags.com and add the magazine (2 years) to your cart. use coupon: 9177 and your price should be $5. here’s prevention (i’m already getting prevention) for $5 for two years too – use code 1501. note that you’ll probably have to place two separate orders.

disney’s up, free movie tickets & “terminator”

up

disney’s got a upcoming animated movie called “up” that’s opening nationwide may 29th. we saw the trailer and it look super cute. my girls can’t wait to see it too. just watch the video clips!

checkoutfree

we don’t normally plan movie nights but this time, we’re planning to watch this one. so i was looking for free movies online and stumbled upon this site: checkoutfree. sign up for one of their free trials and get 1 free movie ticket. good thing i found that because trialpay is no longer offering fandango tickets. :( bummer.

fandango

or if you don’t want to mess with trials and have a visa signature credit card, you can buy a movie ticket and get 1 free. go here to purchase from fandago.

lastly, enter to win free tickets to a VIP screening of the new “terminator: salvation” in a city near you. go here to enter

enjoy the movies!! thanks to slickdeals!!

TrialPay = Freebies

i will admit, i love trialpay! it’s a great way to try or get some things for free by signing up for different programs or making an online purchase.

i’d received many movie tickets last year just for using trialpay. just recently, i signed up for a free 7 day trial to emusic and got 2 free months of blockbuster total access. it costs nothing to join emusic and i cancelled before the 7 days is up.

now we are getting free movies to watch and trade at our local blockbuster. okay, so i don’t really watch a lot of movies but it’s great for getting dora delivered. LOL the girls love it!!

now, be aware that some of the offers from trialpay to get free stuff are not always trials, meaning you do spend money on some of the offers so read them carefully.
